I want my blog to be a stepping stone for people. A lot of people lack the will to make that move “off the couch” so to speak. We smile at the things others create and the little green bone of jealousy rears it’s ugly head. We want that. We want to showcase our ideas so that others might enjoy it or be inspired by it. This blog is my attempt to get off the couch and make it happen. To stop watching other’s show off a fun world they made and wrap us up in a whirlwind journey. It’s my turn to show off a story, and I want people to step in to the world having been led there by me!
I want this to be a community building towards a book. A community that is based on stoking the embers of people starting their journey’s in to their own beautiful fires. I want to create a special place where those who don’t have every second of every day to commit to a hobby or dream can still find encouragement and grace. Practice moves us closer to perfection, but some of us have a hard time getting the practice in. Part of the reason I started writing on this blog was so that it would motivate me to add more to my book. I hope that along with building the community others add on to their own creations because of some spark I inspire.
It’s hard to find groups to belong to. Starting a group, to me, is an excellent way to make sure the topics you want discussed are present. To build a community in your own little hall is challenging, but if I can rally some folks together I might just be able to make something special. That is the change I want to make in this world. Inspiration and encouragement. So stick with me and we’ll see if we can find something funny on the way to the book!
